Project

Fimatix operates a flexible Talent Model, using both a "virtual bench" and permanent resources, allowing rapid scaling to meet client demands

Synopsis

Fimatix’s TaaS team rapidly assembled and onboarded a new integration team within 7 days—half the agreed 14-day SLA—allowing HMCTS to meet urgent integration deadlines with DVLA, maintain project control, and avoid reputational risk.

The Challenge

The challenges set by the MoJ – HMCTS CPP to recruit and onboard a new integration team in 7 days.

The agreed SLA is 14 days.

HMCTS required an immediate integration with the DVLA  platform which was unplanned and unforeseen, and also had a hard stop deadline.

The implications of missing the start date start date would mean the feature would be moved to the end of the programme and potentially provided by the DVLA rather than HMCTS which the Government did not want to happen.

The Project

Fimatix operate a hybrid Talent Model of both a “virtual bench” and permanent resource supply model on all HM Government and Private Sector programme.

This gives us the ability to scale up and down as quickly and as effectively as possible to support fluctuations in client delivery.

The Project required the creation of a Performance Enhancement Team (PET) which the TaaS team had to resource.

The request was 4x Front End Developers and 4x Delivery Managers within 7 days.

Project Delivery

Project implementation involved the use of the Fimatix Virtual Bench Process.

Delivery of 8 interviewed and approved Front End Developers and 4 Delivery Managers within the 7 day requirement from the “Hot listed” process – see below.

The robust process involved the following steps:

  • Constantly taking candidates through the process for our key DDAT roles
  • Technical testing them with our Front and Backend Dev test
  • Agile Delivery Manager interview – first part Rec Team, Second part Client Principal
  • Working hand in hand with the onboarding team through this process to get as much of the BPSS process completed as possible, so up to their last employers
  • “Hot listed” resources

Project Benefits

  • Fimatix TaaS team went into Fast Tack mode and halved their 14 day SLA down to within 7 days.

The shortlisted team started their onboarding with HMCTS 6 days after the requested was communicated.

The HMCTS Department maintained control over their integration with DVLA Department.

HMCTS avoided any reputation damage that would have occurred from the non delivery that could have occurred.
